Goldi Steiner of "Canadians For Israel’s Legal Rights" announces the launch of Canadians For Balfour 100, as 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of The Balfour Declaration.

Among the founding fathers of the modern State of Israel we can include not only the Earl of Balfour but also David Lloyd George and the other members of the British war cabinet. It was only two days after the liberation by the First World War Allies of Be’er Sheva, in the Negev, that they issued the Balfour Declaration. A documentary on the subject, Palestine Problem, points out that the majority of those present at that cabinet meeting were Evangelical Christians, who held a fervent and long-standing belief in the idea of a restoration of the Jewish homeland. Despite the promise made in the Declaration – later adopted by the other Allies – many among the British military leadership and civilian administrators charged with implementing the Mandate opposed what it stood for, and did their best to subvert it.  They might be viewed as the founders of anti-Zionism and the terrorism that is its hallmark.

On May 18, 2017, Canadians for Balfour 100 and The Speakers Action Group presented the special event “The Balfour Declaration: Its Significance for Christian, Muslim, Jew” with Dr. Jordan Peterson, Salim Mansur, and Ezra Levant. Videos are now available below of the main presentation and Q&A session.

He is a member of the Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers (IGAL). The following interesting animated video was posted on the official YouTube channel of the State of Israel. The video focuses on what countries supported the idea of Israeli independence in the years after the Balfour Declaration, and that what makes the Declaration stand out is that it was adopted by the League of Nations (the precursor to the United Nations) in 1922, paving the way to Israel’s independence on May 14, 1948.
